Overview
GoPeek is a browser extension that lets you preview links instantly in floating or embedded windows to improve browsing productivity and reduce tab overload.
Data Collection
GoPeek does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- No browsing history is collected
- No user tracking or analytics
- No personal identifiers are stored
- No data is sent to external servers
How It Works (Local Processing)
When you preview a link, the page is loaded locally inside your browser using an embedded frame. All processing happens on your device. Your custom settings (like window size and UI preferences) are saved locally on your machine using browser's built-in local storage and are never synced externally.
Permissions
To provide instant link previews, GoPeek requires limited browser permissions:
- <all_urls> host permission: Required to load user-requested URLs in the GoPeek iframe, regardless of destination.
- declarativeNetRequest + declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess: Required to temporarily remove anti-embedding response headers (X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy frame-ancestors) for the specific tab requesting a preview. Rules are scoped per-tab, limited to sub_frame resources, and automatically cleaned up when the preview closes or the tab is removed.
Third-Party Websites
GoPeek securely displays third-party websites inside its preview window. We are not responsible for the content, cookies, or privacy practices of the external sites you choose to preview.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated as the extension evolves. Updates will be reflected on this page.
